Ok.. so i have a F22 in my accord.. and i've been told that its not a v-tec... but once i hit 5 grand.. it seems like it is a v-tec...

so is it possible that a F22 is a v-tec..especially being a SOHC?

VTEC in Accords was notput in themfor performance, it wasput in themfor better gas mileage. You cannot feel it kick in at 5k becauseit doesn't kick in at 5k. It kicks in anywhere from 2200+ RPM depending on engine load, but almost always before 5k. if you have VTEC, the engine will say it in huge letters on the valve cover.

F22 has a Vtec and NonVtec version. and its not Vtec because it never kicks in at 5K.

F22b1= v-tec. And mine kicks in at 5200 rpms. No other time. On 87 octane, I can hear it, on 92 octane, I can actually feel it.
