I have $40 and cant order off or ebay for reasons that are complicated, Could i make one out of these parts?

2.5" silicone coupler
3" 90 degree bend
3" base filter

and how would I attach it to my 1988 honda accord LXi its fuel injected,.

 

the only way to know for sure is to go out and try and piece it together.

 

you need a few feet of straight pipe and PVC sealer. Trichloromethane works best, but you could also use rubber cement.

 

ok well thank you to both of you guys. I need a few feet of pipe for a cold air intake or a short ram intake? and I just hook it up to the old intake right? But do I just throw away the old intake or save it?

 

save it in case your intake leaks or you want to go back. Either intake will require straight pipe.

 

Could I make a cold air intake out of those parts plus some feet of pipe?

Im going to use 2.5 inch diameter pipe, how many feet should I buy? I cant cut it myself though just so you know, i need to know before 7 cuz that is when they close, thanks.

 

If you don't have one, buy a hacksaw. Then you can cut it yourself. Also, get the thin kind of PVC pipe. No need for the heavy stuff.

 

alright so in total I need

hacksaw
2.5" pvc pipe like 5 feet?
2.5" 90 degree bend?
3" cone filter
pvc sealer or rubber cement.

 

If you have 2.5" pipe, you could use a 2.5" filter. 5 feet should be about right for a CAI .... better to get an extra foot if that's what you are going to build, so 6 feet total.

 

what kind of degree bends should I get? and how many of each? do i need any zipties and stuff?
