Spark Plugs / Wires -7th Gen
1. Is it worth it?
2. Where are they located/how to install. This was because of this...I've heard good things about Iridiums and I'm sticking with OEM wires (forum reading says Honda wires are top notch). http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DENSO...QQcmdZViewItem |
RE: Spark Plugs / Wires -7th Gen
I've never used them but people who have them seem to like em, Given your engine setup I'm not sure how much you're going to gain over stock NGK plugs but it may be a little smoother....

RE: Spark Plugs / Wires -7th Gen
Since the plugs run $12-$15 each I would think it's a good buy. I didn't see anything specifying they were brand new. Unless you have75,000 miles +on the old onesI doubt you'ld notice any difference.

RE: Spark Plugs / Wires -7th Gen
Funny thing you mention that....I have 89k on this beast. It's hard to believe I got it brand new in 2003. :-/
All of our products are DENSO Genuine and 100% Brand New. |
RE: Spark Plugs / Wires -7th Gen
2003 4-cyl has NO plug wires. There's a coil pack on each spark plug, NO distributor, & NO plug wires.
Stock NGK or Denso plugs should be OK since you're not boosting or using NOx. |
RE: Spark Plugs / Wires -7th Gen
Yeah, just just plop them into the coil pack.

RE: Spark Plugs / Wires -7th Gen
so did you find links selling wires for the 7th gen?

RE: Spark Plugs / Wires -7th Gen
ORIGINAL: 03Sleeper Erm...what do you mean? It doesn't use plug wires at all. Each spark plug has it's own coil (#1) and the 12v wiring harness connects directly to each coil. http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...3sda01_e05.gif |
RE: Spark Plugs / Wires -7th Gen
Right...I'm just replacing spark plugs...not wires...since I don't have any.
