Default Swap on a 98 Accord V6

What kind of cost am i looking at? Cons? Pros? Possible? I read in a thread somewhere that someone swapped in a 6 speed tranny in a 3.0 V6 accord.

yes, and parts only, you're looking roughly around 3.5-4k. With labor, add another 1.5-2k , so total, it would be approx 6k.

Labor sure has gone up since mom had an engine swap on her 82 camry in 2000. Mechanic did it for $500 and that include the engine!!!!!

yeah labor is quite expensive, the going rate for a non dealership shop seems to be around $50/hour

dealerships are normally outrageous though.

How long does a dealership take on an engine swap? It only took around 8hrs for the swap on that camry.

it'll probably take about a whole day. When the dealership replaced my tranny, it took them that long and labor was 1.2k
But the labor rate would mostly change since you're installing a tranny different from manufacture equipped.

yeah dealerships dont really like doing things that they dont have a write up in the computer as to how to do it.

I called my local honda to see if they were interested in doing a h22 swap(just for kicks) and they told me they didnt know what a H22 was lol
