So I have googled the poop out of the F20B. Apparently there has never been an F20B that came from the factory higher than 200hp, and the ones that came mated to an AT were only 180hp. Its pretty much a destroked H22 with a better flowing head. Its peakier, and the torque is lower. I think it would be great for a CRX or Civic hatch, maybe not so great for the heavier Accord.

HOWEVER... while looking around at JDM motors... drooling all over my keyboard... I did find this...

Or maybe this... with the optional LSD for $200, it STILL goes for less than 2 grand...

Man, I love JDM shiznit lol.

Once again, nice finds. Yeah, I did a little looking around at the f20b as well and I totally agree with you, torque is too low for our heavy accords. Not that the f20b is a slug, its just that with h22 why would you use the f20b? Both of those links you posted sound like good deals and if I had the cash and a garage I would be all over it. I think I'll just go cry myself to sleep now...

I would bore it out to 2.2L

another choice would be F22 block and H22/23 head...you will have more TQ than HP........pretty cheap and powerfull alternative......

Are you saying just run the VTEC head? Swap the ECU and the wiring along with the head?

use the Vtec head with F22 Vtec CPU. F22 bottom end is not going to be able to go past 6700 anyways. H2X head flows a lot better than F 2x heads

Hmmm. Didnt know that. How much would you expect to gain from that, without VTEC and all? It probably wouldnt cost much though... Would you have to use headers for an H22? Im really intrigued by this idea lol. Since I cant afford to go the route you did, and buy a nice Acura, I have to try and make my Accord somewhat fast...

F20C? That would be a lot of work, considering its for a RWD car.
