swaps and compatibilities for 95 accord
ok well my girlfriend has a 95 honda accord sedan ex. i do know that it has the 4 cyl engine in it. dont know witch one it is. its also an auto trans in it aswell. and oh yeah by the way i am new to hondas and all lol. but i want to put a new engine in it and make the car lil bit more powerful. dont know what kind of engine it will take or what kind of engine swaps i can do and all that. plus it being a auto when i swap do i need to swap a trans too. pretty much i need to know what all i need to get and do to put a new engine in without running into crazy problems thanks yall

You need to search. Your car most likely has the F22b. H22A/5sp LSD swap would be preferable but costs $$$. If you are not mechanically inclined it'll cost more $$$ to do it. Personally I'd sell your car and get one that's a manual and then do an H swap. Or get a newer V6/6speed accord and enjoy the power it delivers in stock form. Inless you have some cash leave it be.

Or if you want a more rare accord you can do a frank g series engine build. Will be cheaper then h22 or f20 set up. You will have to tear down the bottom end and slap in higher c/r pistons and add a h22/23 head. Then you can cam it and you will purty much have as much power as a stock h23 engine. Just another idea...

If your heart set on a dohc you have the h22(vtec)/h23(non-vtec)/f20(vtec)/f22b(non-vtec) thos are all dohc engines that will work in your car and that will bolt up to your tranny. But F series trannys are slow b/c of the long gears they have. Look into a h22/23 tranny if your trying to be fast...but if you don’t really care all the much about being fast then stick with your F series tranny.
