Default is there really any gain with headers?

hey all, lookin at some ebay headers for $80, I was wondering if I would notice any gains compared to stock? Or are headers just for looks? Thanks

there is a small amount of gain, like 2 hp. However, it only increases high-end hp, and it actually decreases low end torque/hp, of which you dont have much to spare. I mean, 90% of your time is spent in the low rpms, not the high rpms.
but its up to you, really.

^ I agree. You won't notice any power gain until the upper RPM's (If you notice it at all.) And don't buy those eBay headers, they won't last a year. If you want to buy cheap headers, buy Megan or OBX

agreex3

headers would be a waste of money for a daily driver, but makes a mean sound if you have one on though ha

i dunno 32WHP increase on my CL type S for $150 wasn't a bad purchase......granted most of it is at the top but it shaved .8 second off of my 0-60 times 6.5 down to 5.7 :P so I would definately say they were worth it :P

sorry if i call bs on this, but id like to see a dyno chart before ill believe you got 32whp from headers alone...
there had to have been other factors...

32 WHP on an Acura CL type S already pushing 260 HP stock. I think that is fairly beleivable.
However, a header on a 4cyl Accord is not going to add anything like that. maybe 1 or 2 hp I would guess.
