Default Transmission Questions!

Whats sup Guys. I have some questions for you about my 99 accord LX. Ok I bought the car about 3 years ago. The trans starts making noise and eventually dies on me. So I bought a Reman trans from a place my dad had worked at for a year, only paid $1000 for it with a 3 year warranty. It drove fine for a year. Anyway a couple days ago it starts making the noise that the last one did and shifting bad, ( even worse the company went bankruptso the warranty is well no good). Should I take my chances with another automatic trans, or I know a guy who has swapped a 91 acura auto trans to a manual with no problems. Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly helpful. I found a used manual trans on ebay for only $350 with only 64000 on it. Another Reman Auto trans from another company I talked to wanted $1599 with 18 month warranty. Thanks for any help and comments.

If you can find someone to do the manual trans swap for a decent price, I would go that route. Don't get another auto trans for a 98-02 Accord (notorious for being bad)

I'd go with the manual transmission. The autos are just garbage, and one is no better than the next, the problems with them are not fixable.

^^^^ almost true.

Dr. Evil or Level 10 are better than OEM Honda AT-s

Hey guys i need some serious help....I owned a 98 accord 4cyl ex AT. since i've owned it i've changed the engine and tranny. When both went out (not at the same time) i put in an 01 engine & tranny. Now my tranny went out again. Come to find out honda made the worst tranny for the 98-02 accords. I put a lot of work into this car already and i wouldnt get what i want if i sell it. My question is would it be worth it to convert it into a manual with an h22 set up or just an automatic h22 set up will do?
