Default trouble adding additive to my car

i recently bought the chevron fuel injecter cleaner and i was looking at the bottle...
the minute i turn it in the direction to pour it into my fuel tank, it will all come out before i even get a chance to poke it correctly into the metal hole thing and get it open...
is this how its supposed to be?
i dont want to end up wasting like half the bottle because i spilled it, that's 10 bucks!

i remember i tried using bg44k without a funnel and dropped a little but that leaves a stain so u just wash it away immediately. haven't used bg in a really long time. chevron i have never used, let me know how that stuff works. apparently, their gas is really good. i believe they are out in california. i prefer to use seafoam. its the same thing as bg44k pretty much in my book.
