i think it is a load of bs. some people have tried it, most say it doesnt do anything. the others who want to believe it works say theyre great.

i just installed an EnergyCel on my '04 i4.id never gotten 33 mpgfrom any vehicle until recently. especially sincewe were loaded down with luggage coming back from a funeral. the increase may have been from cooler conditions (we drove at night) or the fact that it was 90% highway (~85mph)for 600mi, one way.i was more than pleased with that mpg.
they are kind of costly. but i lucked out and got mine free. my father who has used them on histrucks as long as i can remember, decided to market them a few months ago.
their website explains the theory behind the product. to each his own; but since mine was free i couldnt turn it down.

I've not seen even one time in tests where any of these devices worked. How can they claim a drop in engine RPM on the highway? That is gearing, period and no magnet could change that. I smell fish.

i said the exact same thing to him whenmy dadtold me this. i said BS. thats the dumbest thing ive heard. either this product makes my tire diameter larger, or changes the gearing in my tranny. and we all know bothare impossible. needless to say there isnt anydifference of rpm/speed after the install.

Well here's one report (read almost all the way at the bottom) where someone took an exorbant amount of time to find real data. I've seen some tests done in the past and everything they tested (all of the "this increases economy by some NEW technology") either decreased fuel economy or did nothing. Read the bottom section of that article.

And with these three other links/reports (I think the first one I posted was actually taken from this second link...) I no longer feel the need to discuss this topic.

So ..... everyone get these magnets, a throttle body spacer, a Turbonator, an Interfreezer system, some high performance washer fluid, an electric blower and put some nail polish remover in your gas and you too can get 800 miles per tank and go 0-60 in 2 seconds!!!!
