Default V-6 fuel issue Help needed.

My son and I have just swapped out a v-6 in a 2002 Accord that had a bad crank. The install went well, but now it will not start. When I put a little fuel directly to the intake (butterfly) it cranks. I have fuel to the engine, but it will not run. Any Ideas? I have triple checked all electrical connections, and assume it gets fire as I said a little squirt, and it fire right off.

E-mail me xxxx

Update, I purged the fuel rails and now the engine will start, but runs like on 4 cylinders only. Will check timing and see if that helps. Any other ideas/input?

Mine runs like on 4 cylinders too. Oh wait, mine's a 4-cyl engine.

Seriously, if purging the rail made any difference, then maybe you had crud in the fuel. Might want to try some fuel-injector cleaner? Maybe even remove the injectors & have them cleaned?

Measure fuel pressure to rule out a bad fuel pump.

ps...
putting an email address in clear text is like a magnet for SPAM. Go to USER-CP & somewhere in there is a setting that says "Allow other users to email me". Check that box so people can email you.

But it's better to get answers on the forum so other people can learn.

Thanks for the response. I found Three bad coils, and one cloged injector. All running great now. Did learn putting what Advanced Auto suggested for Transmission fluid was a mistake. Caused the TSC light then the check engine, and a complete shut down. I decided to have Quicklube flush and fill with the correct Honda ATF. Now what is up with Honda only (Blue) coolant?
