Default vtec head?

Hey, I have a 92 accord ex with a 2.2 dohc f22b. is there a vtec head that would fit onto this engine? if so from what. thank you in advance.

You have an EX and it's not VTEC? That really suprises me, even though I don't have a 5th gen.

if you have the f22b head thats a dohc dont get rid of it, you will get more power out of that then you will a vtec head, just change your cams

why shouldn't he switch it, a dohc vtec is so much better than a dohc non-vtec

His motor responds tremendously well to boost, which is what he should do if he wants some more power. Plus I think some DSM parts will fit (manifold). Putting a VTEC head on it would be a waste of money.

yeah, for gas economy

lol...dohc vtec is not better for gas economy. If its a dohc vtec motor its usually a performance oriented motor. Hence why everyone uses them as race engines.

damn dident even know a factory F22 came with DOHC in america... Vtec head would be best... its a 10:1 comp engine... grab a H22 vtec head (from the Prelud SiR) and ur good to go

ah, thats why ive seen non vtec heads produce more overall hp then the vtec counterpart
