So here is my question.

I have an 02 accord with a 2.3 v tech. would I gain from takeing the air box out and putting a k an n type filter on the end of the stock intake tube?

Or you could put in a K&N drop-in filter (high flow OEM replacement) and take out the resonator below the air box. That way you have the performance of a short ram and maintain a stock look.

It involves removing the bumper cover and removing a few bolts.

The instruction are within this DIY for an intake installation:

you can remove the air box, and stick a filter over the stock tubing i did i, but i did it for a better sound not HP, so i dont think it gave me more then 3hp lol

I don't think any intake other than the kind I'm putting in will get over 3 HP.

well supposedly K and N said ill gain 10.5 HP at 4900rpm, but that's a V6 and i doubt it, intakes i think are more for a better sound NOT power
