Question 03 Accord A/C issues

2003 Accord V6 198,000 miles.
Hi! New to this forum and I posted this question in the wrong spot, so I thought I'd perhaps post in the proper sectionas recommended. We are having problems with the A/C, it just stops working or doesnt come on when the car is started, thought it was the blower motor resister/transistor so we replaced it, but the same thing happened again. While checking the relays and fuses the A/C went out, started it when the hood slammed shut. Finally ran codes and it gave us "N", anyone else having this issue?

I have 2003-2007 Accord manual for 4-cyl. However, the AC systems should be the same, so following may help.

Code N is Fan Blower circuit and there are several pages of diagnostics to sort out what has failed. Some easy things to check

1) Make sure code returns after operating mode switches, turning ignition off, and back On to retrieve code.

2) check Fuse 21 (40A) and 30 (7.5A) in underhood fuse box.

3) Disconnect blower and hot wire (12V and ground ) the blower to see if blower has failed.

Remainder gets into diagnostics that might be different for your car (wiring into connectors to supply ground to blower). If you want to repair yourself, you'll need a shop manual to go through the diagnostics. Suggest purchasing your own manual from automanualsource.com for $21.99 if you want to DIY.

Since transistor did not fix, the most likely fault would be either fuse or blower. Beyond this something unusual is going on and the detailed diagnostics are necessary.

good luck
