Default 03 Accord sedan code P498. Need Help!

I have very limited information on this car. It's a 2003 Accord sedan 2.4L non California emissions. I know the P498 code shows the vapor canister vent shut valve circuit low voltage. Does anyone have access to a drawing showing the circuit in question? Or does anyone have experience in dealing with this specific code?

Any help would be appreciated.

What is the resistance across the pins of the shut valve?

A Honda Service News article (Sept 2006) stated the following:

Poor Connection at C501
Can Set DTC P0498

Got a ’03–06 Accord in your shop with DTC P0498
(EVAP canister vent shut valve circuit low
voltage)? Check for a poor connection of the LT
GRN/RED wire on connector C501 between the
PCM and the EVAP canister vent shut valve, and
repair if needed.

__________________________________________________ ___________

The Grn/Red wire is at terminal no. 1 at Connector C501 (C501 is a white 24-P connector located under the left side of the dash, near the OBD-II port).

Issue may be something other than the wire at connector C501 though.

Here is the circuit diagram.

You all are awesome! I will get to this as soon as the monsoon rains in Maryland stop. I worked on this yesterday and found a broken lt green/red wire under the car that had either been chewed or mashed? Made repairs figuring this was the problem? I was totally dejected when I found the problem still wouldn't clear the CEL!

Thanks again!

Looks to have been the poor connection at the 501 connector! The light is reset and holding. Car went through emissions with flying colors.

Thanks to Redbull-1 and Poorman 212 who responded to help me out! The short story about this car is. The owner of this car fell and tore his kneecap off. After going through surgery, he is on his way to recovery. But, right before he fell, he had just gotten an extension from the local emissions office.

As time was running out, the family was in a bind needing to get their car fixed before the state pulled their registration rendering the car unfit for use. It was through your help and dedication to helping others that we all had something to offer in helping this family out.

Thanks so much!
God Bless,

Thanks for coming back with the "fix", too many times we never know the "end of the story".
