Default '05 knock sensor

I am in need of changing out the knock sensor on my 2005 honda accord standard trans 4-cylinder. Can anyone give me some tips on the best way to get to it and what I will need? I read it is accessible from the top underneath the manifold or from the bottom by removing the oil filter... Please help!?! Thanks!

The knock sensor is under the intake manifold (front - facing engine). It is not in the back of the engine (where the oil filter is on your car).

Why do you need to change it? Sometimes, it is just the connector not firmly in place, see attached pic. for info.

yes when I brought it to mechanic to have diagnostic run thats the only code that came up. It was disconnected but after plugging it back in and clearing the code, light came back and said it was still the knock sensor.

good info rebull...if you do end up having to replace, you may be able to do it with the intake in place, but the sensor is very sensitive to impacts, if you drop it, it's done. best to pull the intake to get a clean shot at it.
