Testing that active engine mount...
With the car all warmed up, your trusty helper puts it in D or R (engine idling) and holds the brake.
Unplug the wiring harness plug from that vacuum-solenoid in the picture. That should make a big difference in the smoothness at idle. If it doesn't, you have to figure out why not.
