Default 07 Accord ABS Module Replacement

My wife has 07 Accord SE V6. it’s having problem with brake pressure. We thought it was air in brake line so we took it to local brake shop. When they review the car, they said it is master cylinder. Replacing cost of $500. So my wife took to dealer and they just told her that it’s ABS module; replacing cost of $2,000… They said it’s so rare that ABS module will break on such a new car so Honda of America would pay 40% of repair cost.

Has anyone in this forum has similar problem?

Angry 2007 Accord ABS Modulator Replacement

I encountered two problems and don't know if they are related or not.
First problem started within the first year I brought the 2007 Honda Accord,
waiting in line to get gas, car is in neutral, and brake pedal is depressed.
Ready to move, shift gears from N to D and I heard the engine reviving like
crazy. I hit the brakes, shifted to park, pull on my hand brake. After engine
reviving stop, release hand brake, put car in drive, release brakes slowly and
the problem disappeared. Happened the second time a few months later. Car
was brought in to the dealer service, told them of the problem, and they could
not find any problems. Happened about three more time later at various times
while backing out of my garage, putting it in drive and again the engine revels
like it was having my foot on the gas and brakes the same time. Again, car
was brought into the dealer and they indicated no recalls, no Technical Bulletins
for the 2007 Accord. This was back in 2008 & 2009. Problem did not reoccur since. In April of 2012, getting off exit on a highway, slowed down for a stop
sign and there was a car in front of me. Car did not close down, pump brakes, switched to park, engaged hand brakes, to no avail, hit car in front
of me. Car was probably going between 1 or 2 miles when accident happened. Fortunately no one was hurt, just a few fenders bent and probably have to be repaired. Called 911 to report the accident and I still
got a summons because technically, I was wrong. Car was drivable. This
happened on a Sunday morning. First thing, on Monday morning, I drove
the card very slowly to the nearest Honda dealer which was Westport
Honda in Ct. Same thing happened half way to the dealer, this time, I
keep a good distance from the car ahead of me and ready to shut the
engine off this time if the car did not stop. Brakes failed to stop the car.
Westport Service listened to the problem and within a hour, they mentioned
that there was air in the ABS modulator according to their computer. The
bad news was that for the part and labor, it would cost about $1,400 to
be repaired. Even with only 17, 330 miles at that time, he said Honda
indicated it was out of warranty. For me to complain about it, is to
go back to my original service dealer in Mahwah, NJ and speak to the
service manager to contact a Regional representative to see about Honda's
good will policy. To make a long story short, I am still waiting to see the
regional rep (this is already two weeks ago). Anyone have a problem that
seems the same. Thanks
Forgot to mention, NO WARNING LIGHTS at all. Honda should have this problem as a RECALL.
Honda doesn't care anymore?

Default 2007 Honda ABS Modulator Replacement

Depressing the brakes did not slow the auto down. Here is what the dealer indicated on the invoice:

A C/s veh would not stop coming off hwy...hit another veh... had to use er
brake... peddle went to floor.

99 found air entering abs modulator, replaced modulator, initialized unit, cleared does, test drove 77 cp.

Eventually, system did not work.

3 weeks now, still no word from Service Manager from original place where
car was purchased.
