Default 08 Accord Quirkiness

Hi,

I have a 2008 Accord EX-L which was purchased about 6 weeks ago and now I have noticed that the rear brakes are squeaking after I drive the car for the first minute or so. After this time, the squeak is gone and is not heard again until the car is parked for some time.

Also, I have noticed that the steering wheel locks up some times and becomes very hard to steer at some times when I'm parking the car.

Anyone else noticed these issues and how to possibly resolve them?

Thanks............

Have a 07 but do not have problems. Your car should be under warranty.

Since it's pretty new, could it be the brake dust settling on the rotors after you park the car?

The steering wheel issue is odd.. I'd have that looked into... Make sure you have enough PS fluid just to point out the obvious... I'm assuming you still have power to the car when you're "parking" the car?

Most cars will lock the steering when the car is completely off and turned too far..

Have you thoroughly read the manual all the way through? It may cover that problem. It may be the fact that your car is just so gosh-darn new!
