'10 accord coupe ex-l not shifting correctly
I have a 2010 honda accord coupe ex-l. The car doesn't upshift after coming down a hill. The car rpm's continue to increase with speed on the flat stretch after a hill. Ive noticed that the rpm's should be around 2 when going 60mph, but when the car isnt shifting, the rpm's have reached as high as 5. This concerns me since the car is not even a month old. I think the Grade Logic Control System is associated with this. Any help?
I'm assuming your car has an automatic transmission.
Sounds like it's having difficulty dropping out of gear, since the car is so new, take advantage of any warrenties you have like Hondadude said! Otherwise you could take it to a mechanic to take a look or a mechanically inclined friend.
Check your transmission fluid levels, if it's an automatic transmission there should be a dipstick in the engine bay (usually yellow?), check out your car manual for details on this. Make sure fluid level is good, sometimes trannys can have problems shifting from low fluid levels.
