Hey guys. I have a question regarding the foglights on my new Coupe.

I don't like how they only turn on when the headlights are on. Is there anyway I can mod them so they I can turn them on when I have it at the parking lights setting, or position 1 on the stalk?

I like being able to have the foglights on but no headlights. For example, I drove my Jag around all the time with just foglights:

Believe it or not, it's illegal to have the fogs on without the headlights (silly if you ask me). It's one of those obscure DOT rules like how many lights are allowed on at the same time.

As the chassis electrical system is driven more & more by computer (CAN-bus), they interlock that stuff in the controllers. You might be able to rewire it to work, but I don't have a wiring drawing for 2011.

I've re-wired other cars to allow that, but my Saabs (even 2001) have to use the dealer's proprietary scan tool to make that happen. Some dealers will set it for you (for the Saabs they have to change lighting scheme from USA to "rest of world")
