Exclamation '12 Accord LX-P i4 Sedan...is this normal engine noise? [VIDEO]

So, this car was purchased about 2.5 months ago...back in November, 2011. When we drove it out of the dealership brand new, it had 60miles on the odometer. Dealer guy said it was because they transferred the vehicle from another dealership. Anyways, first thing I noticed was that the engine noise was much more noticeable compared to the i4 '96 Camry I had before.

However, I thought to myself..."eh Honda engines are typically more noisy" after asking a couple of other people and doing some digging.

Anyways...I decided to make a video now to compare my engine noise with other '12 accord i4s to see if this is normal or if I should immediately take it to the dealership and inquire about it. My engine makes a sorta tapping like sound when idling....in all cases when the engine is cold, warm, or hot. It's not that noticeable unless I have my head next to the hood or open the hood. Guess the Honda did a good job isolating most of the engine noise from the cabin.

Car currently has 2,422 miles on it. 1st oil change has not been done yet. Could this be due to the break-in period still?

Here's the video:

I think it's valvetrain noise. Have you checked your oil level on the dipstick? You might have low oil pressure.

Valvetrain noise? It's brand new...so the engine oil has not been changed yet. They told me not to change the engine oil during the break-in period till I've clocked in about 5k miles. Maybe it's due to this break-in period special engine oil they use?

Doesn't sound all that loud to me. Can you ask them to let you listen in on one of their other '12 accords' running engine?

On another Honda forum that has a ton of 8th gen owners, almost everyone is telling the OP it is not unusual.
