1990 accord differential knock

Default 1990 accord differential knock
hi my 90 accord auto trans has a knock at the right axle were it slides into the housing, i have 2 new axle shafts but they seem loose in the housing. when I acelerate knock goes away I let off gas and it knocks at wheel speed. Any help would be great. Ron

have u checked your CV axles? If so do the boots have a tear in them?

Could be defective or wrong axle, or damaged differential.
