Default 1990 accord shift lock problems

The key gets stuck in the ignition but when I wiggle my shifter towards Reverse
a "click" will happen by the ignition and then I can remove my key. It is my shifter that is causing the interlock system to engage. Maybe the solenoid or shifter needs adjustment? I have used the search but havent found a specific answer.

It could be the gear position switch or the shift lock pin switch. If you have a volt meter, you may be able to do some tests on those two items. They are open/closed circuits when the shifter is in park.
