Default 1991 Accord

1991 Accord V6 just quit running going down the road. Will not start. Turns over. Rocker arms work. Getting fuel and acts as if it is going to start but doesn't. Trouble? Please help?

Had the same problem, my trouble was a faulty ignition. There is a wiring harness that goes from your ignition, along the steering column and plugs in to the fuse panel. I got a used one at the junk yard.

so you popped the valve cover and the timing belt is not broken? also, i dont remember a v6 being offered in 91, which would really change things. but another suggesstion is your COIL. it can go out mid step along the road and the car will behave like you have described.

another thing that could really jusify the coil is what kind of plugs you have in the car. if you have bosch plugs in there it is almost certainly the coil.

there was no v6 in 91.. not unless he did a swap............having said that... Is it a 91 4 cyl or did you install a v6 into a 91 accord..................If it is lack of spark , it could be a bad ignitor let me know if it is a 4 cyl. i will tell you how to do a quick diagnose,,
