1991 Honda Accord Fuel Pump voltage
Have a 1991 Honda Accord that quit running on me the other day. The engine turns over but will not fire. Fuel pump does not run with ignition on. Main relay clicks twice when ignition is on and battery voltage is at main relay harness (12.5 volts) but only 6.9 volts at fuel pump connector with relay connector jumpered and ignition on. With main relay removed and reading thru source and ground at fuel pump connector, I'm not reading "open" but about 69 ohms. Does anyone have a good wiring diagram so I can start tracing this harness to see if I have a bad ground/wiring issue. The wiring diagrams that I have show a straight connection from the main relay connector to the fuel pump, but have already found a connector hidden behind a panel in the trunk. Ant help would be greatly appreciated.
You are reading the voltage drop across/through the fuel pump, if you are checking with the connector plugged up.
Unplug the connector, then see if you have full voltage at the fuel pump connector for 3 seconds when the key is turned on.
