Default 1991 Honda Accord LX Thermostat question

I have a 91 accord lx coupe 2.2 and i did the h23 manifold swap a while back. After the car has been sitting for a while I noticed the hose that goes from the stat housing to the back of the block or intake mani somewhere is leaking and i am assuming from to much pressure. So my question. Do I possibly have the hoses from the manifold connected to the stat housing wrong? Bad stat? (never overheats) I am also tempted to remove the stat. I only drive the car here and there in anywhere from 70-90 degree weather. HELP!!!

Thanks,
Primerftw

I would look at the hose for damage before assuming that the pressure is building up in the system.

Even if you suspect pressure building up, that is controlled by the radiator cap. If the cap is original (20 years old) it's not unrealistic to get a new one. Especially if the springs & seal-disks are looking old.

Maybe not a bad thing to get a new cap and a new hose.
