As long as the wheels really do fit, all you may need are wheel hub centric rings.

Redbull, could u be more specific in what you are talking about? That isnt a tem i have ever heard before. The rims slid right on my bolt pattern just fine. But when i tightened the nuts, it almost seemedd that the nuts dug into the rims a little bit before they got tight.

you are using the wrong lugnuts.
You should not be using acorn style nuts on those wheels.
That is dangerous.

These links have descriptions of hub centric rings, there are more:

Why Hub Centric Rings? - HubCentric-Rings.com

How to install Hub Centric Rings (Benefits explained) - YouTube

The hub centric rings are necessary if you have a gap.

But, like Crispin stated, you need to use the correct lugs. So, your problem could be one or both (i.e., hub centric ring needed, and/or correct lug nuts).

Thank you redbull for all the info. I broke down and took my car to Firestone and they broke the bad news to me. Apparently the rims i put on the car dont have a big enough opening in the center for them to slide over my hub. Something i wish I could have seen, but you will have that. So its back to the 17s for me. Crispin, thanks for the tip on the nuts, i will replace those as well. I am forever glad I signed up for this forum, cause you guys are on the money with the information u have givin me. THANKS TO ALL!!

Well if you want to run those wheels you can.

Take an angle grinder to the back of the wheel where the HUB opening is and enlarge the area some.

I have done this before and it works fine.

You want to check and tighten the lug nuts every 100 miles or so a few times but after that you will be fine.

Millions and Millions of cars drive down the road without hub-centric wheels everyday with no problems.
