1993 engine change

I am spending my thanksgiving (weekend?) removing and replacing my sons accord engine. 1993 F22A1 Automatic (10th anninersary model). Replacement is '92 or '93 LX engine.Past engine change experience has been on older GM and Ford makes. Interested in what special tools (if any)i willneed. Also, any tips or suggestions to help with this project would be greatly appreciated.

You planning on dropping it out the bottom or hoisting it our the top?

I would recommend changing the water pump and timing belt on the new engine while its out of the car.

Can go bottom or top, pretty nice garage, lift, jacks etc. What's easiest? These are the sort of tips i'm looking for! (FYI my search won't work. What's up with that?)

I personally like top, easiest just to take the tranny with it, then connect the tranny to the new engine out of the car then drop it all in.

I dropped my tranny out of the bottom.... that was a b****. If you have a hoist, go out the top, if you have ang engine/tranny jack.... go out the bottom.

Oh and be gentle when taking it out... the TPS sensor is right there.... and that is a nice spare to have and easily broken.

Using a relatives garage. Hoist, jacks, air tools etc. Never heard of changing out the bottom until the other day at work. Also, heard i may need a tool for gas lines?

not that I recall, you just unscrew a nut, then lift the fuel line off the fuel rail, as you can see in this picture where it attaches on the far left of it
