That is a slick way of doing the rotor job.

Hey guys!
I got the Honda back from the shop that machined the rotors on the car. It feels like ALL of the vibration it FINALLY gone!! I've only had a chance to take it up to 60mph and hit the brakes once so far, but it did not vibrate AT ALL. It always vibrated when braking before, so I am pretty sure its all fixed. I found a place that had an on the car lathe and would machine the front rotors for only $80, well worth it!

I will post again if I feel vibration again, but as of now, I am saying that was the fix. Thank you guys SOOO much for the help!! I would have never figured out that the new rotors could be warped out of the box.
Thank you HondaDude! You got it.

Thanks again everyone!

When I worked as a used car mechanic we put new rotors on front wheel drive Chrysler product but didn’t drive beforehand. When you hit the brakes it made a loud thump like a bad suspension component but no pulsating. We couldn’t find anything worn and ended up taking it to the dealer which cut the rotors on the car and that took care of it. In taking to the parts store they said it was common to have them warped in the box if made in China this was early nineties. Now when I go to the parts store I see none of the big names in brake parts I know or a name brand with made in Asia in little print. I buy the factory parts as much as I can.

Occasion the hub for the rotor will be bad and give you pulsation but not very often. With cutting them on the car you covered both hub and rotor.

I still can't believe that they sell rotors warped out of the box....crazy. Well that was the fix, I just had to have them machined on the car...So if other people have this same problem, that is definately what I would try.

THANK YOU GUYS AGAIN!!!

everybody misses this. if it isnt a bad rim or tire, it is a bad wheel bearing...worn and allows too much free play
