1995 Honda Accord LX 2.7L A/C Issue
I don't think the expansion valve will be the cure for the a/c cutting off. You really need to look at pressures in the system to figure out if you have an internal a/c issue.
For the non-operating fan, is it the a/c fan or the radiator fan? The a/c fan relay is near the engine bay fuse box (but not inside the fuse box) and the a/c compressor relay is right next to it. I think they are identical, but I'm not 100% sure. The radiator fan relay is inside the fuse box.
The easiest way to test the inoperable fan is to unplug the electrical connector to the fan, then hook a 12V test light across the pins that can draw a decent current (like a headlight bulb). If the bulb lights up when you turn on the a/c, then you pretty much verified the fan motor is shot. If the bulb doesn't light up, then you move upstream and investigate the relay.

so before I get to the A/C when I started the car this morning, it was choking and stalled, I saw the oil light blink. I had to give it a lot of gas to get it going and then the car ran perfect. I have never changed the FITV but I had the throttle body cleaned well and replaced the IAC valve a year or so ago. my friend said the FITValve was cause revving, not stalling. is this true? so I let the car sit for a few minutes and it started right up no issues, idles perfect. so the issue is on a cold start. a few people told me to clean the IAC valve and I have a can of the electonics cleaner. could it be the fuel pump failing, its the original fuel pump. if it is, fortunately I have a OEM replacement pump which is a discontinued part. but probably just the IAC valve getting stuck on cold start up??
your thoughts please! happy 4th!

thanks very much! its just odd that it only happens on a cold start up.
You can also try the caveman method on the non-working fan motor. Start the car, turn on the a/c, the tap the non-working fan motor with light/medium force with the handle of a screwdriver. See if the fan motor turns on. If the motor turns on, then the fan motor is likely worn out. The test light method will tell you if you are getting adequate power and ground to the fan motor.
so the car has been troubleshooted. 1 fan is not working as I expected and told them, as I tested it. 2 sensors were bad, he said the temp sensor was cracked (I believe I replaced this), and 1 other sensor I cant remember the name but will tell you later after I get the car back. so Im replacing the 2 sensors and a fan motor.
