Are you still getting TCU code 13?
There should be a blu/wht wire between ECU and TCU. This may be only source left that could cause this fault. good luck |
Ok, thanks. What do I look for, melting or burn damage to the wires? Can I buy this wiring harness or is the car toast if I find out this is the problem? If I can buy the harness, what is it called? Thanks for all the help.

You will need a shop manual. See Online Manuals post in DIY forum.
You will need to disconnect the ECM-D connector (460) and TCM connector (461). The blu/wht wire runs between those two connectors to bridge the circuit boards. Check from 460 to 461 for continuity of the wire. Also check connector for damage. If you find an open blu/wht wire, you will need to trace and find the damaged section. Also check that wire is not shorted to ground, open from wire to ground w/ both connectors removed. If good, this points back to a faulty ECM. good luck |
I'm having a problem finding the manual for my vehicle in the DIY section, could someone post a direct link for me?
Just from manually looking at the wires, there are a few blue and white ones and nothing smells or looks burnt or damaged. I checked the error code again, and now it flashes code 10 and code 13. Does that help to diagnose the problem? It was only flashing code 13 before. Thanks for all the help so far. |

Thanks, I will check tonight if the brake lights are working and see if i hear a click from the shift interlock. Does anyone know what the D4 light blinking code 10 is? It's now blinking codes 10 and 13.
|
A D4 light flashing a code 10 is for the engine coolant temperature sensor. The check engine light should flash a code 6 as well.
If the D4 light is a quick flash, then that would be a code 1. |
The D4 light is the only one flashing a code. It flashes one long, then a pause, then one long and 3 short. So codes 10 and 13.
Car will not come out of park unless you manually release the lever, and then will not shift properly. The whole time the car is running, the D4 light blinks steadily. |
Check the shiftier if it was exposed to liquid that's where the problem lies. The car don't know where the shiftier is.
