1996 Accord CD5 5 speed manual Tachometer exponetially off?
So here's the deal. I own a 1996 Honda Accord CD5 2.2l EX-L SOHC 5spd manual. My tachometer seems fine except that when I hit the 6.7k or so rev limit, my tachometer reads about 5k. @ 2k my ODB2 reader is showing a live reading of 2700RPM. All in all The ODB2 is reading what I would expect but my gauge is reading abnormally. It seems at idle it reads very close to what it should and is very far of when at high RPM. Higher the RPM, the more difference between true and indicated RPM.
Do I need a new gauge cluster?
Is there some way to calibrate it?
I haven't found any other forum that is talking about this particular issue.
At first I was convinced that I had a 5K rev limit due to an issue with burning oil and possibly loosing oil pressure which would disengage VTEC, but then confirmed a stock-ish Rev limit
Thanks all in advance!!!!

There is no calibration I know for the tachometer.
The tachometer is removable on the cluster, so you could just replace the tachometer.
You may want to pull the cluster then remove the tachometer from the main board in the cluster. Check the points where the tachometer makes contact with the board. Clean them up with a fine grit sandpaper to make sure you tachometer issue is not a poor/corroded contact.
Here is a video on disassembly.
