Default 1997 Accord Intermittent Ignition Miss

Hello All,
I have a 97 Accord SE. The engine has an intermittent ignition miss that mostly appears when the engine warms up. When the engine runs OK it runs great. The engine maintains RPM during AC cycling and shifting from park to reverse to forward.

When the problem starts it's just like a the ignition randomly picks cylinders to miss. Idle speed slows and the engine stalls easily.

The plugs are 2 years old and in great shape. I've just replaced the cap, rotor, wires, coil and ignition module.. Still same problem.

Has anyone experienced this? Are there any ideas?

Clean the EGR ports. In the common diy thread on top of the gen tech help forum, there is a link to cleaning the EGR ports for the 94-97 accords.

Default My 97 Accord Is Fixed!!!!

Hello PAHonda, I was able to follow the instructions you mentioned in your reply and the Accord is running sweet.. I have to admit that I questioned this fix since the problem was so intermittent. Well, I have to tip my hat to you.. Many thanks!!
