Exclamation 1997 Accord SE Security Alarm problem

Almost every time I unlock my door with my key, the security alarm goes off. I then have to turn the key a second time (or more) to disable the alarm. The car horn blaring loud and very frustrating.
I think the sensor in the door must be faulty because it happens about 90% of the time. It obviously thinks I am breaking into the car.
  • I have looked for a fuse to disable the alarm and did not find one as far as I could tell ...
  • I am 90% sure it is a factory alarm. My owners manuals talks about the alarm.
  • I have looked everywhere online and there isn't very clear direction.
Is there some way to just disable the alarm system for the time being?
Should I take the panel off my car door and investigate?
Are there any drawings of the Alarm System setup for my model?

Any help would be much appreciated.

1997 Honda Accord alarm problem.
I saw this on another forum and it worked.

Disconnect positive battery cable
Open driver door and leave open
Put key in switch and turn to on position and leave on
Reconnect positive battery cable
Horn may or may not sound for a few seconds
Start the car
