1999 Honda Accord V6 distributor cap - when to replace
Regarding a 1999 Honda Accord v6, with 195k miles.
I do not see this in the owners' manual.
Do you need to replace the distributor cap. If so, at what mileage.
Spark plugs and wires have already been replaced.
Thank you

Good question. I don't really see a "set" time or distance for replacement, just a footnote to check for "cracks, wear, fouling". Me, I would sleep better to at least replace them (cap and rotor) when doing the plugs....but that is just me.

A buddy of mine changes his plugs at 30K and cap, rotor and wires every 60K on his truck. He says he can feel when it's due for plugs, but does the cap and rotor every other plug change. And yes, he does see wear on the cap and rotor too at 60K intervals. He's also owned the truck since brand new (had 4 miles on it when he bought it, now has 280K on it).
