2.3 F23 VTEC seal R & R
I get my JDM 2.3 VTEC motor tomorrow. The place that sold me the engine recommends replacing crankshaft, camshaft and balance shaft seals as well as oil pan gasket when the pickup tube is checked/cleaned. I'll also be replacing the torque converter o-ring and seal. Everything is out and easily accessible so it appears as though now is the time. There's 194K on the clock (tranny). Exact engine mileage is unknown, but supposedly in the 30K - 60K range. The engines have been sitting in storage/transit for an unknown time, but I managed to get an engine that was just delivered to the local shop about 4 days ago.
I've searched here and elsewhere and read about different seal removal methods, but the sheet metal screw and screwdriver methods didn't exactly appeal to me for fear of FOD or collateral damage. I have a couple questions on removal, installation and seal choice.
1. Has anyone used the Lisle 58430? I have the pickax style seal remover, but I don't think that works well when the shaft is sticking out. The 58430 looks pretty slick.
2. Any bad issues with Fel Pro seals? The reason I'm thinking of going with Fel Pro (Napa) is that all the front and rear crankshaft seals come in a kit. I have a hard time finding the right seals using the OEM parts web sites when the description of the part is "OIL SEAL", not "CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL". It's not always obvious from the diagram what seal goes where and with descriptions that aren't descriptive, it's too easy to get the wrong parts. Re-ordering parts will cost me days and money since they're not easily returnable.
3. The manual calls out special seal drivers, but I was planning on using appropriately sized PVC fittings, sockets or thumbs/fingers as I've read here. Any other options I'm missing or personal preferences? What did you use and would you use the same method again?
Sorry if this seems redundant with other posts. I'm trying to get the details right. Don't want to do this more than once.
Thanks in advance.

Copied from my swap notes spreadsheet:
1 OIL SEAL (80X100X10) (ARAI) (Rear Main) 91214-P7A-004
1 OIL SEAL (40X52X7) (NOK) (Front Main) 91212-PAA-A01
1 OIL SEAL (27X40X8) (NOK) (Balance Shaft) 91233-PT0-003
1 GASKET B, OIL PUMP (ARAI) (O-ring) (gear case) 15114-PT0-003
1 O-RING (11.5X3.5) (Dipstick) 91309-PJ7-010
1 TORQUE CONV. O-RING (32X1.9) 91302-639-000
1 OIL SEAL (40X56X9) (NOK) (Driver's Axle) 91205-P0X-005
1 OIL SEAL (40X66X8) (NOK) (Pass. Axle) 91206-PK4-003
1 OIL SEAL (44X68X8) (NOK) (TC Shaft) 91207-P0X-003
The OEM seals have a steel backing so the drill/fine-drywall-screw removal and PVC-pipe installation methods worked for me. Thousand grit emery paper on the shafts knocks down any crap.
I won't use anything but OEM seals. They're built better.
