2000 Accord 4Door CEL Code
Hello Everyone;
My wife has a 200O Accord 4 Dorr, EX Model, 140,000 miles. The check engine light is on, we took it to autozone for a reafing and it is a PO135 code, which has something to do with o2 sensors.
The parts list she got to replace it is a Bosch Part # 13075, which is an o2 sensor.
My question is, is this the only thing I need, and if so, is it as easy as it sounds? How do you replace an o2 sensor, and what parts other than the actual sensor should be associated?
Thanks!!
JR

This code is an electrical fault in the O2 sensor heater circuit. While it could be bad fuse, damaged wire, or electrical connector, the most likely cause is the heater element is open or shorted.
Replacement is not difficult, but may require lifting the car on jack stands or ramps to access the O2 sensor.
You will need a large (7/8" or 22mm will work) open end wrench or special O2 sensor socket to remove the sensor. It will help to warm the car for 5 mins before removal. This expands the O2 sensor fitting making removal easier.
good luck
