Default 2000 Accord EX 6 Speaker Factory Amplifier Location

My 2000 Accord EX 6 speaker stereo turns on but no sound out of the speakers except for a pop when first turned on. I replaced the receiver with a new Pioneer unit. After installing the new receiver, it indicated that there was a "auxiliary amplifier error". I've searched the factory amplifier location with no luck. Looked behind the glove box and passenger side kick panel. Can anyone provide me with a picture of the location or more details?

Thanks!

George

PS..It's my daughter's car and she's been waiting to her her new stereo since Christmas!

The Honda electrical circuit diagrams does not show a separate factory amplifier.

Page 22 of Pioneer Owner's Manual states the following:
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/St...nual062514.pdf

AMP ERROR

This unit fails to operate or the speaker
connection is incorrect.

The protective circuit is activated.
– Check the speaker connection.
– Turn the ignition switch OFF and back
to ON again. If the message remains,
contact your dealer or an authorized
Pioneer Service Station for assistance
