2000 accord ex f20b swap
Hey there! So i did a little research on engine swaps and fell in love with the f20b motor, as a result i bought one and did a swap in my accord. The car was auto f23a4 then was converted to f20b manual sir-t. I got the motor in, everything bolt in smoothly. I used my stock engine wire harness so i had to do the distributor conversion. I wanted to stay obd2 so i used the f20b manual pcb ecu. After the swap was finish the car will start and idle but it won't rev over 3000rpm. My mechanic told me that i should get a new distributor so i did but it was the same result. This swap is fun but also an headache. I did all the obvious this that were needed to make this motor run but it still won't rev over 3000rpm. I am clueless and out of options so am really hoping that i could get so helpfull ideas from someone.
These swaps can be tricky. I moved your post for better response.
Does the f20B engine have crankshaft position sensor same as the F23A4?
Also are any DTC's present on the Obd2 system?
good luck

Check Engine Light on? What DTC's (diagnostic test codes) are set?
RPM limit of 3000 rpm's suggests ECM is operating in "limp home" mode due to some problem. Problem should set a code.
If no code, do you get Check Engine Light come on for 3 secs or so and go off when keyswitch is turned to On?
good luck
