2000 Accord fuel gauge stuck at 1/4
2000 Accord LX 4 cyl automatic with 68k original owner. Saw that my fuel gauge was at 1/4 so I filled up today. Put in 11 gallons and left. Noticed that the gauge is still at 1/4. Drove all around today and it is not moving. Any help is appreciated.
I have the Honda Care warrenty for 3 more months. I was just reviewing it and it says it covers "• Fuel Tank and Sending Unit". Could that be problem?

RE: 2000 Accord fuel gauge stuck at 1/4
First thing to do is Prove if it is the gauge or the sending unit at fault; Go trunk diving and pull out the spare tire cover to get to the fuel assy cover plate, under that you'll find the top of the unit.
unplug the harness and ground the Yellow/blue wire; then go turn on the key and see if the gauge goes up.[don't let it peg out]If not the guage is bad, if it does move up, the sending unit is bad.
Sending unit P/N 17630-S84-A02 Approx $60
