2000 Accord LX P1149 code
Hi,
This is my first post here and have very little knowledge about car issues. I am trying to get help for my 2000 Honda Accord LX (4-cylinder ULEV) that shows "Check Engine" sign for last couple of weeks. I was given P1149 DTC code by a local repair shop and was told that my car's Air fuel Ratio sensor is dead and need to be replaced. He priced the work at $250 part + $80 labor. I found another mechanic shop that would replace the sensor for $35 if I bought the part. I searched Amazon.com and found various Air fuel ratio sensor by Denso (matching my car make, model, trim) that are way cheaper than $250 I was quoted by repair shop. Which one should I buy? Can I rely on amazon's compatability tool? I'm confused but with your help I can avoid being charged excessively for this. Thanks in advance. |
Don't rely on Amazon compatibility. Go to one of the Honda parts website
www hondaautomotiveparts honda parts now and search the correct part #. Then search that number. Just say that if Amazon comes up with this part, Denso 234-4209 Universal Oxygen Sensor. Check it against another site. http://www.densoaftermarket.com/cata....php?part=o2sn The part # for my 1998 ULEV looks like this on Amazon: Denso 234-9025 Oxygen Sensor (Air and Fuel Ratio Sensor) |

Thanks - Denso 234-9025 it is!!!
Thank you both for quick response. I just placed an order for Denso 234-9025 on Advanced Auto parts website. They have 15% off $112 price and another $25 off $50 coupon being sent next month.

And its not too difficult to replace it yourself, too.
You can buy the tool for less than $35, and you get to keep the tool. |
