2000 Accord LX P1149 code
Hi,
This is my first post here and have very little knowledge about car issues. I am trying to get help for my 2000 Honda Accord LX (4-cylinder ULEV) that shows "Check Engine" sign for last couple of weeks. I was given P1149 DTC code by a local repair shop and was told that my car's Air fuel Ratio sensor is dead and need to be replaced. He priced the work at $250 part + $80 labor.
I found another mechanic shop that would replace the sensor for $35 if I bought the part.
I searched Amazon.com and found various Air fuel ratio sensor by Denso (matching my car make, model, trim) that are way cheaper than $250 I was quoted by repair shop. Which one should I buy? Can I rely on amazon's compatability tool? I'm confused but with your help I can avoid being charged excessively for this.
Thanks in advance.

Don't rely on Amazon compatibility. Go to one of the Honda parts website
www hondaautomotiveparts
honda parts now
and search the correct part #.
Then search that number.
Just say that if Amazon comes up with this part, Denso 234-4209 Universal Oxygen Sensor.
Check it against another site.
http://www.densoaftermarket.com/cata....php?part=o2sn
The part # for my 1998 ULEV looks like this on Amazon: Denso 234-9025 Oxygen Sensor (Air and Fuel Ratio Sensor)
