Exclamation 2000 Accord - p1381 error code/3000 RPM

Hello evrybody.
I've got a 2000 accord back in december and since then I have been looking for a solution on this issue:
Error code: p1381.
When driving, as soon as it reaches just about 3000 RPM the car stars to jump/ hesitate and feels as if there is no power at all, I have to release the pedal and take it easy so slowly it starts speeding up. The car starts just fine anytime, and the issue is intermittent, will do it randomly, sometimes it will not do it at all from point A to point B on any given ride.
The first thing I was told to do was a tune-up: done. New cables and spark plugs. Already replaced distributor, band new from a Honda dealership service center, still at same stage with the problem. It is getting worst as the CEL used to come on but go off by itself until next time the issue appeared and just a couple of days during the week, now it does it everyday and light does not go off.
At the dealership service center they could not replicate the issue, the car would run perfectly every time I took it there (3 times), so after they made me replace the distributor and see that the problems persist, they wanted me to replace the alternator (even after they tested it and found no problems there), all cables and spark plugs (again) and maybe the timing belt if I still had a problem. I have seen several similar issues and a lot of possibilities so I wanted to provide all the details I could, maybe I can get a better answer.
This is my first ever Honda and I am very disappointed

Any known solution?

Thanks!

The code is for a problem with the cylinder position sensor. That sensor is in the distributor, but the error code can be from the sensor (yours is new, so it is good), the wiring, or the PCM.

copy and paste this link in your browser, because it looks like a faulty alternator can cause this problem:
