Default 2000 Accord SE - Leak in trunk- is there a drain in the trunk?

I had water leak in the trunk over time and didnt know it. After watching this video
, I chipped away the old dried seam sealer and re sealed the seams on both sides with POR Patch and thought I had it. But its back again.

This is what the seams looked like before I chipped it all off and re sealed.

and the re seal job

and a pic of what its doing again after nearly a full week of rain while mostly parked in the drive

The trunk weather insulation was going to be my next replace but wanted to check with this forum first. I noticed body panel plugs in the bottom of the trunk and wondered if one was supposed to act as a drain or not. Anyone know?

Nice info and photos. My 92 had a trunk leak - pretty much same area - where the welds were up top (had been rear-ended and weld must have cracked). Used Gutter Seal to fix, in spot never seen.

I thought resealing would have helped but that rust in the last pic is after the fix so its still leaking from somewhere. Im thinking to at least cut a hole in that body panel plug under the tire to allow water that gets in to drain out.
Any other spots to check out? The rear passenger side was backed into years ago by someone who didnt bother to look behind them to see I was parked at the red light behind them. So the seam on that side I thought would be the culprit.

You may want to line the inside of the trunk with newspaper and use a garden hose on the rear window/trunk. Then open the trunk to see if you can find the location.

You may want to check the seal behind the taillights, because I've seen posts on that seal causing a trunk leak.

Sprinkle baby powder around the suspicious places - any water leaking in will make tracks in the powder.

Thanks to you both, great suggestions! Anyone know if there is a drain or should be in this trunk?

I don't think there is a drain in the trunk.

Then we had the tropical storm Fred come through Monday and Tuesday. I popped the trunk today and saw this.

Its definitely the right side where the leak is coming from, and no surprise since it was that side the lady backed into the rear left fender and door. But I had done the seam sealer, so I wonder where its coming in at?

I checked the taillight seal by removing the unit and it looked ok to me. I put it back and snugged the fasteners up pretty tight.
