Default 2000 Accord AT thumping noise on decel

Hello all.
This morning on way to work I notice my 2000 Accord SE Auto 4cyl started making a kind of thumping noise while driving. It is more pronounced when letting off the gas. It is there while just driving but seems to go away under acceleration. Sounds to be coming from the front end and doesn't seem any more noticeable while turning or braking.

Any thoughts anyone?

Thanks

My guess would be one or more CV joints.

I'm far from an expert but that crossed my mind so when I got to work I cranked the wheel one way and pulled forward and the other way in reverse and didn't hear the typical clanking normally associated with CV joints. I suppose that doesn't rule them out however?

One thing I forgot to mention, and I'm going to sound like a real dumba$$ here, but I just put my summer wheels/tires back on the other day. Typically I would just give the 4way wrench hell when tighten the lug nuts. This time, after constant preaching from my father-in-law, I torqued the wheels to 75ft-lb. Could they have come loose causing the thumping?
Just trying to think of the last things I did to the car that might cause a change.

Thanks

Hmmm, 75 lb-ft sounds a bit thin; most cars I've read the torque spec for suggest roughly five pound-feet either way of one-hundred. I'd head out right now and check the lug-nuts.

It's probably in the owner's manual, but I bet 80 or 85 lbf*ft because that's what it was for the 1998 and 2003 I used to own.

It was the lug nuts. I feel like a dip$hit.

75 sure isn't very far off from being correct. I would be very surprised if 75 vs. 82 was the cause of any kind of thumping noise. What was really wrong?

You swapped wheels & tires...? What about spherical vs. conical lug nuts?
