New to group, but have been a Honda family since 1991. Haven't been in an Accord since 95, and am considering purchasing a 2000 EX V6 with 98K. Interior andbody are in very good shape. However, when I went for the test drive today, I noticed that the transmission seemed tojerk pretty noticably.

For example, when I was approaching a red light,I had to fight backwhat felt like theengine cruising in high gear, only to get a few feet from the light and get thatquick whiplash effect of a drop into a lower gear.

Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, is this common or should I be concerned? I'm taking it in to a Honda Certifiedmechanic on Monday for an opinion.

 

I recently bought one with 70000 miles not being aware of the transmission issues associated with this year. I would suggest reading the prior threads on this issue. It is a major one with this car.
