Default 2001 Honda Accord Coupe 2.3

Does anyone know of any problems with the transmission on 2001 Honda Accord Coupe 2.3
4 cylinder automatic I just bought the car it only has 84500 not even turned over yet.I bought the car knowing that it needed an axle or a inner seal the owner bought it new I am the 2 owner could someone please give me some input on the vehicle. It would be greatly appreciated.

The 2001 2.3L transmissions had some premature failures, but the V6 transmissions had a much higher frequency of failures. With a transmission, all you can really do is keep up with maintenance. Maintenance would be changing the transmission fluid at the recommended mileage. I recommend using Honda transmission fluid recommended for your car. Do you know when the transmission fluid was last changed?

Axles (also know as CV joints) can fail if the rubber boot gets torn and dirt/grime gets into the joint.

Why does the CV joint need replaced? Are you leaking fluid?

I’m getting the inner seal and probably axles taken care of it’s at the shop now. Yes it’s leaking transmission fluid

It says on the tittle Honda Accord Coupe SL what does that mean I know they have EX LX but no SL I will say it’s silver
