2001 Honda Accord slipping and revving transmission.
Hey everyone,
2001 Honda Accord 4 cylinder, revving as it goes into gears ( drives me nuts). check engine light is on, code P0780 and P1751. I cleaned the lockup solenoid and replaced solenoid B but nothing changed.
See the video please
any input will be much appreciated.
Thanks

I just bought the car from the auction a month ago so I don't have info on when the fluid was replaced. I inspected the fluid visually and looked not bad. I was thinking about replacing it today.
thanks
thanks
FWIW, I noticed my 2001 V6 Accord ES started slipping back in 2017 and I have to admit I'd been so busy I hadn't serviced the transmission in 40,000+ miles; I performed a "3x3 flush" (basically drain the tranny of about 3 quarts, refill with 3 new quarts of Honda DW-1 ATF, and then rinse and repeat two more times); the transmission stopped slipping immediately. Use only Honda DW-1 ATF, or one of the two or three certified compatible ATFs (if the ATF is one of the so-called "Universal" fluids, avoid them like the plague):

Smart, the color and smell are a poor indication of fitness for continued service.

I just changed the fluid and unfortunately the same issue. How long should I wait before drain and refill the transmission fluid again?
Thanks
Worst case, if the transmission still slips after the third drain and refill, you might want to try an aftermarket friction enhancer like Lucas Transmission Fix; this is a band-aid to be sure, but at this point you won't have much to lose. Long story short, it sounds like sooner or later you're going to need a tranny rebuild.
Just a few miles to get everything mixed together. Was the transmission slipping when you bought the car? If so then you have no idea how long it has been slipping and how much damage to the clutches has been done.

I've driven the car for about 3 miles after changing the fluid. The old fluid didn't have so much metal ( that's what the mechanic said). I'll drain and refill it twice tomorrow, hopefully it will fix it (🤞🏼
.thanks again for your support.
