The 1.8 is a F18B2 engine and don`t get me started on the gas prices over here in the UK. The prices are going up every week and we have some of the highest petrol prices in the world yet we are an oil producing country and the price of a barrel hasn`t gone up much I think its around $75-$80. 80% of price of a litre of fuel is tax for our greedy government. Its around £1.13 for a litre of unleaded which if you work it out will be around $8 or $9 dollars a gallon! You guys pay what about $2.50?

£1.13 = about $1.84
US gallon = 3.785 liter
so... almost $7 for a US gallon

It goes up & down around $2.50 to $3. Always goes up when MY gas tank is empty.
We whine & complain when it goes up to about $3.

I wouldn't mind MORE taxes on gasoline, if that comes with lower taxes on income & property. That'll encourage more people to get efficient cars.
